On Thursday,(Feb. 17) I will turn 26- again :0) Some people love birthdays and celebrate them with big parties, bar room celebrations or family affairs. Other folks (like my husband) keep it a state secret because they hate attention, or just don’t like getting older. I belong to the former group, though I never seem to have the big party or celebration, it never goes unmarked by my family and friends. It used to be that my family and I would get to go somewhere warm (like Mexico) because of having a winter Birthday and one that falls so close to Presidents day weekend, making it easier to take my daughter out of school to go somewhere.

There won’t be any warm climates this year since our only will be starting college in the fall. Instead we’ll take a little jaunt to Baltimore and Washington D.C. for a weekend of museum hopping which I know will be lots of fun. (Oh, for any one who is so inclined- my favorite B-day cake is yellow with real whipped cream icing, vanilla pudding and sliced fresh strawberry filling like my Mom used to make me- just leave it on the deck if I am not home :0)
